Craig Brewer is in talks to direct THE IDOLMAKER remake.
The film follows a music producer who attempts to find a hot new act after being undercut by jealous company executives. The original was directed by Taylor Hackford and released in 1980. Howard Koch Jr., Justin Timberlake, Gary Barber and Roger Bimbaum are producing.
Brewer’s previous work includes “Hustle & Flow”, “Black Snake Moan” and the “Footloose” remake. He is repped by WME.
