Dakota Fanning is in talks to star opposite Ryan Kwanten in the upcoming retelling of the Charles Manson cult killings in THE FAMILY. The project, which was once upon a time known as “The Family Jam” is now set to be directed by Brad Anderson, and produced by Muse Films, Angry Films and the Gotham Group. The film, which is set to be seen through Manson’s eyes, tells the tale of a sad lonely female drifter who Manson had special interest in as he converted her into the cult.
Fanning, who was last seen in “The Runaways” and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” before that, currently has “The Motel Life” set for release, and is in development on a dozen other films including “The Shaggs”, “Girls Night Out”, the Dreamworks version of “Alice in Wonderland” and the teen crime tale “Mississippi Wild”.
