Dave Franco and Emma Roberts have become attached to Lionsgate’s newest YA thriller, NERVE. The script, based on the Jeanne Ryan novel and adapted by Jessica Sharzer, follows a teenage girl who gets caught up in an online game of dares called Nerve, but what starts out as fun and leads to fame, turns deadly as the mysterious company behind it all plays on contestants fears.
Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are directing, with Allison Shearmur and Anthony Katagas as producers.
Franco’s recent comedic work in 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, and Seth Rogen’s Neighbors, has done much to solidify the young actors attention in the spotlight. His future work includes credits in Now You See Me: The Second Act which is currently filming, Unfinished Business, and Zeroville.
Roberts has had much television success lately with her role in the American Horror Story series and upcoming role in the much anticipated Scream Queens series. She also recently co-starred in We’re the Millers and James Franco’s Sundance film I Am Michael.
