Doug Liman is one of the more respected filmmakers in Hollywood for making big action films like The Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise. Back in 2008, Liman directed a sci-fi movie called Jumper, which wasn’t received quite as well among the critics, but undaunted, he has moved forward with a sequel of sorts to the film.
Liman’s new series IMPULSE, which he directed and exec. produced, returns to that territory by being based on Steven Gould’s third novel in the Jumper series, circling around a rebellious 16-year-old smalltown girl named Henry Coles (Maddie Hasson) who discovers that she has the powers to teleport.
The new series also stars Missi Pyle, Sarah Desjardins, Enuka Okuma, Craig Arnold and David James Elliott.
All ten episodes of the one-hour series will debut on YouTube Red this summer, and you can watch a new teaser trailer for the series below.
