Disney’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY has begun its casting process, testing five actors for the role of Peter Quill, leader of the Guardians.
Joel Edgerton, Jack Huston, Jim Sturgess, Lee Pace and Eddie Redmayne are all testing for the role in the film, based on the Marvel comics and centering on a group of intersteller superheroes assembled to protect the Galaxy from evil.

Edgerton will next be seen in Kathryn Bigelow’s war-drama “Zero Dark Thirty”. He is repped by Shanahan Management and CAA.
Huston currently stars on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” and will next be seen in the drama “Not Fade Away”. He is repped by UTA and Ken McReddie Associates.
Sturgess was in the Wachowski Sibling’s ambitious Sci-Fi epic “Cloud Atlas”. He is repped by CAA and Garricks.
Coming off of “Lincoln” and the “Twilight” finale, Pace will next star in Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”.
Redmayne will star in the musical-drama adaptation “Les Misérables”. He is repped by CAA.
