Disney has found its director for STAR WARS EPISODE VII.
Action Sci-Fi maestro J.J. Abrams will be taking the helm for the first installment in the famed franchise to be made under the watch of Disney. The storyline of the pic is being kept under wraps with Michael Arndt writing the script. Ben Affleck was reportedly also in contention to direct the film.
Simon Kinberg, George Lucas and Lawrence Kasdan will produce.
Having last directed 2011’s Sci-Fi monster pic “Super 8”, Abrams’ “Star Trek Into Darkness” is currently awaiting release. He is repped by CAA.
