Joe Swanberg’s Netflix show Easy might be one of the streaming networks hidden pleasures, since it hasn’t gotten as much attention as other Netflix sitcoms. The eight-episode anthology series was an enjoyable look into the indie filmmaker’s thoughts on marriage, sex and relationships via a number of Chicago residents.
Easy will return for a second season of eight episodes streaming Dec. 1 and Netflix has offered the first trailer, which you can watch below.
The cast for the upcoming season includes Aubrey Plaza, Dave Franco, Aya Cash, Judy Greer, Kate Berlant, Joe Lo Truglio, Zazie Beetz, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Micucci, Michael Chernus, Jane Adams, Jacqueline Toboni, Evan Jonigkeit, Marz Timms, Danielle MacDonald and Kiersey Clemons.
A prolific filmmaker, Swanberg’s most recent film Win It All, starring and co-written by Jake Johnson (New Girl), also debuted on the streaming service earlier this year, and he’s also directed episodes of the Netflix show Love.
