Josh Gad Takes Center Stage For “Kinison”

Permut Presentations’ has taken a step in the right direction as it has added to star and to direct.

The film is based on the book “Brother Sam: The Short, Spectacular Life of Sam Kinison” by Bill Kinison and Steve Delson and follows the life of Sam Kinison, who went from being a preacher’s son to a beloved stand-up comedian in the 80’s. Gad will play the titular role in the film, which was written by Rich Wilkes and will be produced by David Permut.

Gad shot to stardom with his role in the wildly successful “ of Mormon” and starred alongside Ashton Kutcher in “Jobs”. He is repped by ICM.

Charles directed the Sacha Baron Cohen films “Borat”, “Bruno” and “The Dictator” and is currently working on the comedy “Pierre Pierre”. He is repped by .
