Kevin Hart is adding another action comedy to his list with the forthcoming movie RUN THE JEWELS. But this time, the actor-comedian will stay behind the scenes as a producer of the feature based on the pitch by Alex Blagg and Neel Shah, who wrote the Black List comedy script F*** Marry Kill.
Hart will produce under his Hartbeat Productions banner with Kristin Lowe at Universal overseeing. The story centers on a group of failed rappers who make a plan to rob an eccentric hip hop mogul. The movie is currently in development and has not pinned down a director or cast.
Hart can currently be seen in Central Intelligence opposite Dwayne Johnson. He also lends his voice to the forthcoming animated feature The Secret Life of Pets and next year’s Captain Underpants. His next stand-up movie, Kevin Hart: What Now? is slated for an October 14 release date.
He is repped by UTA and 3 Arts Entertainment.
