Kyle Catlett has joined the cast of the POLTERGEIST remake, with Nicholas Braun in talks to join as well. This comes on the heels of today’s earlier news that Jared Harris would be classing up the project. Not to mention that the remake/reboot already boasts Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt as the patriarch and matriarch of the Bowen family.
The specific details of the plot are still under wraps but it’ll (without a doubt) revolve around the Bowen family and their struggle with ghosts. Catlett will play one of the Bowen kids, while Braun is in talks to play a grad student who documents the haunting investigation.
David Lindsay-Abaire (“Oz the Great and Powerful”) is writing the most current draft for Gil Kenan (“Monster House”, “City of Ember “) to direct. Producing will be Roy Lee, Doug Davison, Sam Raimi and Nathan Kahane.
Catlett is best known as the little kid who just can’t quite figure out what’s going on in “The Following.” He will make his feature debut with the upcoming “The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet.” Braun was last seen in “The Watch” and most recently “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” He’ll turn up soon in “Kitchen Sink” and “Get a Job.”
Catlett and Braun are repped by Don Buchwald and Associates and WME respectively.
