Netflix has released the first trailer for their upcoming series THE MECHANISM. The series comes from Narcos creator Jośe Padilha and screenwriter Elena Soarez. The show is based on one of the biggest corruption scandals in Brazil’s history. The series will follow a small group of investigators who work to discover the corruption in the massive scheme.
The series was shot entirely in Brazil and is made up of a Brazillian local cast. The first season consists of eight one hour episodes with Padilha directing the first episode.
The series stars Selton Mello, Enrique Diaz, Carol Abras, Jonathan Haagensen, Antonio Sabio, Susana Ribiero, and Osvaldo Mil. The Mechanism premieres on Netflix March 23, watch the trailer below.
