Paul and Chris Weitz Keep It In the Family for “Like Father Like Son”

Sibling writing team and will write LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON, a remake of Hirokazu Kore-eda’s 2013 film. The drama centers on a wealthy family who discover the 6-year-old they’re raising is not their biological child and that their actual child is being raised by a family of modest means. Steven Spielberg is set to produce the project which is set up at Dreamworks.

The filmmaking duo are best known for writing Pixar’s animated “Antz” and writing and directing the big screen version of “About A Boy.” Paul directed “Admission” and “Little Fockers,” while Chris directed “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” As for upcoming projects, Chris wrote the screenplay for Kenneth Branagh’s “Cinderella” and they’re both on board to produce comedy “Game” starring Josh Gad and Chris McCoy’s comedy “Good Kids.”
