Pierre Morel is in talks to helm the Sean Penn action-thriller PRONE GUNMAN.
Adapted by Pete Travis from Jean-Patrick Manchette’s book, the film centers on an international assassin who must go on the run when he is betrayed by his organization.
Joel Silver and Andrew Rona will produce.
Morel is best known for directing Liam Neeson’s 2009 action-thriller “Taken”, a project that rings in similar tones of “Gunman”. He most recently directed “From Paris With Love” and is currently in active development on “Racing Patriots” as a producer.
He is repped by CAA.
