Ron Howard is in talks to direct THE JUNGLE BOOK for Warner Bros Pictures after Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu dropped out. This specific take on Rudyard Kipling’s book is being kept under wraps (as is the one from Disney and Jon Favreau).
Callie Kloves wrote the script that her father Steve Kloves (“Harry Potter”) will produce.
Howard last directed “Rush.” His next film, another book adaptation, is the “Heart of the Sea” and will come out next year.
He is repped by CAA.
