Now that the Fantastic Four are set with Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Storm and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm, the project is looking to cast its villain, Doctor Doom. We’re hearing that there are (fittingly) four names in the mix. Marvel’s allegedly talking to Sam Riley, the voice of Diaval in the upcoming “Maleficent” feature, Eddie Redmayne, the “Les Miserables” alum, Toby Kebbell, Tony from “The Counselor,” and Domhnall Gleeson, Bill Weasley from the Harry Potter franchise.
See any common characteristics? They’re all British! No word about whether Doctor Doom will be from across the pond in this reboot but I’d say there’s a good chance. There were whispers of a female Doctor Doom this go around but those have since been squashed.
The script for the new reboot is still getting a final polish but with a release date of June 19, 2015, Fox will likely make their decision sooner rather than later.
The newest installment of FANTASTIC FOUR will be helmed by “Chronicle” director Josh Trank.
