Scott Eastwood has signed on to star in OVERDRIVE, which has been almost made a few times now. Taken director Pierre Morel will be shopping the film at TIFF next week with Kinology in charge of selling distribution rights. Antonio Negret will be directing a script written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas.
The film follows two handsome, car-thieving brothers as they travel through Europe and end up in trouble with a crime lord in the south of France. The film has seen many leading men come and go since it started development in 2011 including Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Goode, Ben Barnes, Garrett Hedlund and Karl Urban.
Eastwood can be seen next in Suicide Squad. He is repped by UTA and Joanne Horowitz Management.
