Scott Eastwood has signed on to join the high-speed fleet of actors in FAST 8, the next installment of the Fast and Furious franchise.
Eastwood is set to play the protege of Kurt Russell’s character, Mr. Nobody who supposedly died in Furious 7. He will join newbie Charlize Theron, who has been cast as the movie’s villain, as well as Fast and Furious regulars, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Lucas Black. F. Gary Gray is set to direct the installment which will open in theaters on April 14, 2017. This will be followed by additional movies which will keep the franchise’s actors busy until 2021.
Eastwood can be seen next in DC’s Suicide Squad as well as the forthcoming Oliver Stone-directed Snowden. He is also attached to star in the crime drama, Live by Night directed by Ben Affleck.
He is repped by UTA.
