Swedish actor David Dencik joins the cast of The Weinstein Company’s REGRESSION. Dencik will play a Minnesota man accused of sexually abusing his daughter but he has no recollection of the incident. A psychologist uncovers a repressed memory that implicates a local police officer of the crime. Soon, the people of the small town are overrun by their own repressed memories as a result of a widespread supernatural conspiracy.
Dencik’s past roles include Toby “Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy” and Janne Dahlman in the Swedish version of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.” He’ll appear next “The Homesman” alongside Tommy Lee Jones, Meryl Streep and Hilary Swank.
Dencik will star alongside “Harry Potter’s” Emma Watson and Ethan Hawke who will play the accused police officer.
