Lucasfilm’s upcoming prequel SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY will hit theaters this summer on May 25, Memorial Day weekend, and Walt Disney Pictures used its partnership with ABC to premiere a brand-new trailer during tonight’s American Idol.
The movie stars Alden Ehrenreich as the young Han Solo and Donald Glover as the young Lando Calrissian, as well as Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones, recent Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson, Paul Bettany, Thandie Newton and more.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is directed by Ron Howard from a screenplay by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, and it’s produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel.
