Matthew Vaughn has chosen Sophie Cookson to star in the thriller THE SECRET SERVICE, based on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ comic book of the same name.
Colin Firth stars as a veteran secret agent who leads a young protégé (Taron Egerton) into the shadowy business. Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine also star. There’s no word on what Cookson’s specific role will be but she will be a female lead.
Vaughn will produce with Tarquin Park.
Cookson is an up-and-comer who has previously appeared in the mini-series “Moonfleet” and will next be seen in the TV movie “Unknown Heart.”
She is repped by Curtis Brown Group.
