The film is directed by Jessica M. Thompson from her own script. It follows a young New York City woman who is sexually assaulted by a stranger during an evening out with her friends. She attempts to keep the assault a secret, but the burden of the truth breaks down the trust and intimacy in her relationship with her long-term boyfriend. An encounter with an at-risk woman later forces her to face what has happened.
Beatriz joins previously cast Conrad Ricamora and Catherine Curtin.
Thompson produces alongside Carlo Velayo, Michael Cuomo, Gigi Dement, and Raymond K. Javdan.
Beatriz is best known for her comedic roles. She currently stars in Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine and has a recurring role on Modern Family. She previously starred opposite Brie Larson in Short Term 12.
She is repped by Don Buchwald & Associates.
