Baltasar Kormákur directed the romantic survival drama, which STX will release on June 1.
Baltasar Kormakur (Everest) is directing Adrift, which is based on a true story about a couple who set sail for Tahiti when a massive storm ruined their boat, leaving them stranded at sea roughly 1,500 miles from Hawaii.
The drama spec Adrift from writers Aaron and Jordan Kandell, which landed on The Tracking Board Hit List yesterday, is currently being packaged for financiers and distributors. Shailene Woodley is attached to star in the film, with Everest’s Baltasar Kormakur directing.
