The 2016-2017 Writers on the Verge at NBCUniversal has finalized their selection of scribes. The annual program seeks television writers of diverse backgrounds and assists them with the final polish and pitch presentation skills.
GOTHAM
Season 3, Episode 9 – Gordon suspects Barnes is responsible for two murders while Nygma investigates the foul play behind Isabella’s death. Ivy meets up with Cat and Bruce when she goes on the run from a hench-crew sent by the court of the owls as the Mad City rolls towards a more vengeance themed phase of the season.
Season 3, Episode 8 – On Gotham, Barnes loses control of his rage while apprehending a perp and struggles to face the consequences of his actions. Gordon returns to GCPD and draws a murder committed by one of Gotham’s finest.
Season 3, Episode 7 – Tetch poisons Gordon and makes him confront his fears and place in Gotham, while Barnes faces the reality of his infection when Alice’s blood tests prove tragic and Penguin is jealous of the new love in Nygma’s life.
Season 3, Episode 6 –Gotham attacks the love arcs when Tetch plans a series of homicides for Gordon to witness and makes him choose between two women he cares about. Mayor Penguin works up the courage to tell Nygma he loves him as Nygma meets someone new that reminds him of his old flame.
Season 3, Episode 5 -The people of Gotham embrace Penguin as Mayor but the Red Hood Gang attacks his efforts all over the city. Nygma takes on an oversight position at GCPD which angers Barnes and Lee. Bruce hires Jim Gordon to find Ivy Pepper on Selina’s behalf. Gordon offers some relationship advice but all the baddie are fighting for what they love.
Season 3, Episode 4 – Nygma battles Butch and reshapes Penguin’s campaign for mayor ofGotham while Gordon works on breaking Tetch’s spell. Five tries to hide his identity form Selina as he cuddles up to her. Tetch commands a family of wrestlers to assault GCPD and recover his sister and use her blood to infect the city water supply.
Season 3, Episode 3 – Gotham offers its own election drama between a man who thinks he’s entitled to be Mayor and Penguin who thinks the people of Gotham City are ready for real change. Another weirdo graduate from the villain factory at Indian Hills pops up when her psychotic mind-controlling brother arrives hunting her down, while Selina continues her search for Ivy.
Season 3, Episode 2 – Penguin riles up the people of Gotham to take down Fish and her monsters once and for all.
Season 3, Episode 1 – Gotham brings most of its characters back for Mad City and introduces a few more. Now that we know where all the characters stand, it’s looking like it will be an exciting third season. Let the conflict begin!

We’re three months away from fall premieres but the networks are ready to start building momentum now, with Fox joining NBC in releasing their fall premiere schedule.
Gordon saves the city, GCPD arrests Hugo Strange, but Fish escapes and unleashes a whole busload of supervillains on the streets of Gotham.
Hugo Strange captures Bruce, Gordon, and Fox during a rescue mission to free Selina, and Fish returns to Gotham with a few DNA-added superpowers.
Azrael fights a priest, Tabitha, Gordon, Bullock, Alfred, and has a showdown with Penguin on the dangerous streets of Gotham.
Azrael, the newest ray of darkness in the dawn of supervillians, hunts Gordon but nails Barnes on Gotham.
Gotham delivers one of its best and most dramatic episodes of its brilliant season when Bruce and Gordon get a real lead on the architect of the Wayne assassination.
Gordon returns to fighting for justice and Penguin returns to his homicidal tendencies while Professor Strange lets one go and receives a new kid for his block.
Gordon spends hard time with Prisoners he swept from the streets of Gotham. It’s full of drama and suspense, but the real story magic and tragedy is happening at Penguin’s house.
Nygma steals the “Mad Grey Dawn” from an art gallery and Penguin finds out how tough life can be when you are the new kid on the streets of Gotham. This episode shows rich or poor, Gotham is no place for the weak.
Bruce explores “This Ball of Mud and Meanness” when he finds the man that murdered his parents walking free on the streets of Gotham.
Gotham delivers more Mr. Freeze back-story with “A Dead Man Feels No Cold”, but the real revelations this week flow from Dr. Strange. This a already a great series and a fantastic sophomore season, but Gotham gives constant hints that it’s only getting better.
Gotham continues it’s fantastic run of villain stories with the introduction of “Mr. Freeze”.
Gotham pushes Gordon to cross a new line in “Worse Than A Crime,” as Barnes issues a warrant for the arrest of Jim Gordon, wanted for assaulting Theo Galavan and two GCPD officers.
We find out a little more about the mysterious monks when they take to the streets of Gotham, murdering thugs and low-lifes, while Galavan hunts a very specific target, “The Son of Gotham.”
Penguin wants to leave Gotham, but Nygma nurses him back to life with “A Bitter Pill to Swallow”. The arrest of Galavan leaves Tabitha unsupervised and she is a woman that needs heavy supervision. Bruce tries to figure out a way to get a copy of Galavan’s file about the man that murdered his parents.
“Tonight’s the Night” is another incredible episode from the story masters who keep Gotham entertaining and surprising. It is a lesson in how to make a comic-book based series for content fans and build new fans from a television audience.
Gotham elects a new mayor and his first act is to apprehend Penguin in “Mommy’s Little Monster.” Even baddies get the blues as Penguin and Nygma suffer heavy personal losses.
House of Cards actor Nathan Darrow’s career is gaining steam, or should we say it’s on ice? Darrow’s been cast as a young Victor Fries, AKA Mr. Freeze on Fox’s Gotham.
Gotham steps up the drama “By Fire.” Loyalties are tested and no one gets any daylight in this tense episode. Gordon makes promises he can’t keep, Selina loses another friend, and lovely Silver leads Bruce into a dubious web.
