Muppets writer Bob Kushell has signed on to write the pilot for the latest TV reboot, The Honeymooners, at CBS. The original series debuted in 1955 and was based on a recurring sketch from Cavalcade of Stars.

The series is the eighth freshmen series to get an additional episode order, proving that the network has faith in the Muppet brand. Looks like Kermit and crew are here to stay.
