Season 2, Episode 10 – Impastor ends its second season with a ridiculous, melodramatic episode, feeling more like a soap opera than a dark comedy. It ends on a big cliffhanger, but will it be enough to get the show a third season?

Season 2, Episode 9 – In the show’s penultimate episode of the season, Buddy’s life gets even more complicated when a FBI agent buys his lie that he’s undercover and a secret about Alexa’s past is revealed.
Season 2, Episode 8 – Buddy’s attempts to help a troubled teen backfire spectacularly, while Dora runs against Alden for church president and Alexa realizes that she may have real feelings for Buddy after their car hook-up.
Season 2, Episode 7 – Buddy’s double life gets closer to being exposed, as Sheriff Graham intensifies her investigation into Ray’s death, Russell pressures him to get involved with supporting the local gay community, and Dora begins snooping around.
Season 2, Episode 6 – The Bishop comes to town, as he’s considering giving his job to Buddy. Meanwhile, the sheriff begins investigating Ray’s death, which threatens to expose Alexa and Buddy’s secrets once and for all.
Season 2, Episode 5 – Once again, Impastor struggles as it attempts to blend together serious storylines with life or death stakes, like Alexa being held at gunpoint by a crazed arsonist, with inconsequential subplots, like Dora’s interest in her would-be prom date from high school.
Season 2, Episode 4 – Impastor exposes a flaw—it’s hard to care about Dora, Russell, and Alden’s inconsequential stories when Buddy is dealing with life or death stakes. This week, Dora runs into an old prom date, Alden goes on a date with Ashley, and Buddy escapes his torturer only to deal with an arsonist.
Season 2, Episode 3 – A decent episode with real stakes is undone by a ridiculous ending and inconsistent characterization. Impastor still has potential, but so far this season has been a disappointment.
Season 2, Episode 2 – Buddy must have a real-life guardian angel, as he survives the situation in the woods. At Dora’s insistence, he meets with an old woman in hopes of getting her to bequeath her estate to the church. Meanwhile, Dora goes on a date with Detective Lovello and a menacing man confronts Alexa, so Buddy’s problems aren’t over yet.
Season 2, Episode 1 – Impastor returns for its second season, with the premiere picking up seconds after the finale left off. Buddy talks his way out of going to jail, but the episode ends on a dramatic cliffhanger.
