Disney has found their scribe for the live-action re-imagining of The Lion King with Jeff Nathanson. He will be teaming up with The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau to bring the fast-tracked production to life.

Lily James has signed on to star as the record-breaking swimmer, Gertrude “Trudy” Ederle, based on the book Young Woman And The Sea by Glenn Stout. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing the film for Paramount Pictures.
