FX may not be the only network with an X-Men series any longer as sister station Fox has given a pilot order to Matt Nix for a new drama based on the X-Men. The project hails from 20th Century Fox TV and Marvel TV.
Matt Nix
Fox has committed to a pilot about Marvel’s popular mutant heroes and villains: the X-Men. From writer Matt Nix, the untitled series will follow a family who discovers their son is a mutant and must go on the run, eventually joining up with a underground team of other mutants.
Fox has boosted development to cover American Idol’s exit and fill nearly 40 hours or programming. So this year’s order of 11 pilots is up from last year’s 6. That said, Fox isn’t really looking to take risks. Let’s take a look at what’s in the works in our preview of Fox’s Drama Pilots.
