New Girl star Jake Johnson is developing single-camera comedy Catalina with his home network Fox. Johnson penned the pilot with Max Winkler and Mary Fitzgerald. The project is described as Weekend at Bernie’s set on Catalina island.

Disney is officially developing a legacy sequel to the 1991 cult classic, The Rocketeer. The new film, titled The Rocketeers, will see a brand new hero donning the familiar helmet.
Set six years after the original, an unlikely new hero emerges: a young African–American female pilot, who takes up the mantle of Rocketeer in an attempt to stop an ambitious and corrupt rocket scientist from stealing jet-pack technology in what could prove to be a turning point in the Cold War.
Writing duo Max Winkler and Matthew Spicer have come on board to pen a new draft of Magic Camp, a family comedy set up at Disney with Steven Martin in talks to star.
Logline: Centers on an uptight banker who returns to Magic Camp as a counselor who takes it upon himself to improve the lives of all the kids and win the top prize at the Golden Wand competition.
