Season 1, Episode 10 – In the third holiday episode for Speechless, the family seeks the best Christmas ever. Obstacles stand in their way, including the loss of their vital wheelchair van. Meanwhile, Ray and J.J. battle over the solo spot in the school choir. But like Ray, this episode isn’t in the right key.
SPEECHLESS
Season 1, Episode 9 – J.J. is tired of being patronized in athletic competition, so Jimmy tries to take matters into his own hands in this week’s episode of Speechless. Meanwhile Maya and Kenneth address their relationship in a needed plot, while Ray seeks a place for his thoughts without any family chaos.
Season 1, Episode 8 – Ray just wants to get away, but the family can’t seem to get him to the boat on time, in this week’s terrific episode of Speechless. Meanwhile, J.J. tries to reel in a catch, and Dylan and Jimmy scheme to make poor parents pay big bucks for holiday gifts.
Season 1, Episode 7 – It’s the tale of two halves in this week’s Thanksgiving episode of Speechless. Jimmy’s brother comes over with his family, which leads to a fun game that takes up the first act. Then turkeys are charred, secrets are revealed and televisions are bought. And it doesn’t quite feel like Speechless.
As we head into a season of indie films and critical darlings fighting for a few awards season nominations, the 2017 People’s Choice Awards has released their list of nominees, celebrating the big hits that gained pop culture notoriety over the past year.
Season 1, Episode 6 – Maya’s drinking sangria with a mom group? Ray’s trying to hang with teens who watch MMA? Few things go right this week on Speechless, in an episode that throws a lot out there with little execution. At least we have one of the finest comedic dynamics on television.
Season 1, Episode 5 – It’s the Speechless Halloween episode! The DiMeo family has a tradition of dressing up together for Halloween, but the tradition is threatened by teenage wants and needs. Watch J.J. get drunk, and Ray grow heartbroken, while Maya allows Jimmy to pierce his ear and listen to ’90s ska.
Season 1, Episode 4 – Somehow Speechless is able to make stories about J.J. not actually be about him. In “I-n-s-Inspirations,” Kenneth takes a day out with J.J. too far, while the rest of the DiMeo family tries out life without the oldest child, and wonders if they’re allowed to have fun.
Season 1, Episode 3 – When a bonfire doesn’t work for J.J., Maya puts her foot down. When fitting in isn’t working for Ray, can Jimmy help him figure it out?
Season 1, Episode 2 – Maya has to adjust as Kenneth settles in as J.J’s new aide in Speechless. Meanwhile, the family introduces itself to the neighborhood.
Season 1, Episode 1 – Meet the DiMeos, a family fiercely protecting itself and oldest child J.J., in the groundbreaking Speechless. The pilot unpacks a lot of plot, but there’s a lot to like.
