It has been four years since the infamous Boston Marathon bombing, but the devastation of the event is still fresh in our heads — and the new trailer for Stronger paints a picture of the day through the inspiring true story of survivor Jeff Bauman, who became the living embodiment of “Boston Strong”.
David Gordon Green’s, Stronger starring Jake Gyllenhaal, is looking to add Tatiana Maslany as one of the runners during the Boston Marathon bombing, adapted by John Pollono from the book of the same name.
The Lionsgate drama centers on Jeff Bauman, who lost both of his legs in the attack whilst cheering for his girlfriend at the finish line. Bauman went on to help identify the perpetrator of the terrorist attack, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, right after emerging from surgery.
The studio will develop the real life story of Jeff Bauman, a Boston Marathon bombing survivor.
