THE DEATH OF STALIN

Five years after the popular HBO show gained the British television creator a new American fanbase, his third feature film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September before opening in the United Kingdom on October 20.

Armando Iannucci’s The Death Of Stalin has added Rupert Friend to the cast. He joins previously cast Steve Buscemi, Simon Russell Beale, and Paddy Considine.

The satire follows the Soviet Union in March, 1953, during the Soviet dictator’s last days, and depicts the chaos of the regime after his death.
