The 26th annual MTV Movie Awards was not its usual event this weekend as it was the first time it combined movie and television categories and removed gendered categories. Beauty and the Beast was the big winner of the night, taking home multiple statues and being the inspiration for the event’s opening number.

MTV is giving their annual entertainment award show two big changes this year. Plus, Jordan Peele’s hit horror film Get Out leads the nominations with six nods.
Animated spin-offs tend to work very well and The Lego Batman Movie is no exception. Keeping in spirit with its predecessor, director Chris McKay balances mature wit and child-like silliness to tell a surprisingly heartfelt superhero tale.
There are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, learn to lighten up.
A spin-off film featuring Batman from the 2014 film The Lego Movie.
Carey proves a worthwhile addition to an already incredible voice cast consisting of Will Arnett as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker.
