The 2015 Gotham Awards were held last night in New York City, honoring the year’s best in independent film, primarily focused on those made in the Northeastern region of the United States. This year marked the 25th Gotham Awards presented by the Independent Feature Project, and saw Tom McCarthy’s Spotlight win big, taking home Best Feature, Best Screenplay and a special jury award for Best Ensemble Performance. This year’s special Gotham Tributes went to Anonymous Content founder Steve Golin, director Todd Haynes, Robert Redford and Helen Mirren.
