Director has been tapped to take over the directing chair previouly filled by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris on the upcoming novel adaptation . The project, which was previously set up at Warner Independent, hit a rough patch there in the middle, before Warner Brothers took over development. The project, which has been adapted by Tom Perrotta, who also wrote the book, centers on a divorced sex education teacher who is forced by religious conservatives to teach abstinence. While fighting for the freedom to keep touting the joys of sex, she falls for a born-again soccer coach. Cholodenko, who most recently completed work on the Oscar nominated film “The Kids Are All Right” also has the project “Inland Empire” in development.
