THE MONUMENTS MEN is in the thick of its casting process and George Clooney has set several top-notch names to the World War II drama.
Daniel Craig, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, Jean Dujardin, John Goodman, Hugh Bonneville and Bob Balaban are all officially set to join Clooney, who is also directing and producing off a script he wrote with Grant Heslov, who is also producing. Murray, Blanchett and Dujardin were all previously in talks before being set in the film which takes place during World War II when the U.S. government forms a group of international art experts to hunt down and recover artwork stolen by the Nazis.
The project will mark Clooney’s fifth effort behind the camera, with “The Ides of March” being the latest project he directed. Filming will begin next March.
