After much speculation over the last few weeks about who will star in the second season of TRUE DETECTIVE, we get some concrete information about who may be at the helm of the series. Justin Lin is in talks to direct a number of episodes of the hit HBO drama series. So far, no cast has yet been confirmed but Colin Ferrell, Taylor Kitsch, and Vince Vaughn are all in negotiations while Elisabeth Moss and Rachel McAdams are rumored to be in the running for the female lead. The second season, which will be penned by Nic Pizzolatto, will be set in California and center on an investigation of a murdered corrupt city manager.
Lin is known for helming action features like “Fast & Furious,” “Fast Five,” and “Fast & Furious 6,” as well as a few episodes of “Community” and the pilot of CBS’ upcoming crime procedural “Scorpion.” Among his many upcoming projects, Lin is attached to direct an untitled Jason Bourne sequel, drama “Times Square” for Chernin Entertainment, and an untitled Shaolin Temple remake.
Lin is repped by CAA, Maven Label and Cinetic Management.
