ABC has given the pilot green light to GLIDED LILLY, a period drama written/executive produced by KJ Steinberg and executive produced by Shonda Rhimes.
A&E has announced plans to move forward with a new series that will take place before the events of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho,” which they are calling BATES MOTEL. Writer Anthony Cipriano is on board the project. Hitchcock fans may remember that this has already been attempted in the 80s with a series by the same name, which failed. Perhaps things will change with Cipriano on board. David Nutter is in negotiations to direct the project, which will take the original Green Arrow character and place him a new world with an original story.
CW is finalizing a deal for a pilot order to ARROW, a new hourlong superhero drama based on the DC comic “Green Arrow.” The pilot will be written and executive produced by some heavy hitters, including Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg.
NBC has given the green light to an UNTITLED LIZER COMEDY PROJECT, a multi-camera comedy from Kari Lizer, which centers on two life-long female friends who are living very different lives but couldn’t live without each other.
STARZ has greenlighted MARCO POLO, a new 10-episode original scripted series about the 13th century explorer from the Weinstein Co. and Electus. Created by John Fusco, Marco Polo is described as a fantastical martial arts epic chronicling the famous adventurer’s early years in the court of Kublai Khan.
SYFY is finalizing a deal to pick up 7 additional episodes of its flagship series WAREHOUSE 13, bringing the dramedy’s total fourth season order to 20 episodes.
