TV SALES
ABC has picked up a classic re-telling of ROMEO & JULIET from writer/exec producer Andrea Berloff. Catherine Hardwicke is onboard to make her TV-debut as a director, and she will also exec produce with Todd Garner, Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and Sean Robin.
CBS has picked up TV rights to the Charlaine Harris (True Blood) GRAVE SIGHT series, for Kam Miller to adapt for network. Series, which centers on a woman who’s struck by lightning — and suddenly able to see the last moments of the dead, will see Harris and Miller exec produce alongside Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Naren Shankar and David Zucker.
CBS has snatched the new 1/2-hour laugher ROZ from writers/exec producers Yvette Lee Bowser and Craig Ferguson. Series, which centers on a single mom who supports her extended family, will also be exec produced by Tracey Pakosta.
CW has picked up HAWKSHAW from writer/exec producer David Loughery and his fellow exec producer Samuel L. Jackson. Series centers on a mysterious man in his 20s who doesn’t know his real identity — but believes that he’s either a descendent of Sherlock Holmes or is actually the literary sleuth. Amanda Tracey will also exec produce.
FOX has picked up the new comedy retitled to become the UNTITLED LIZ MERIWETHER COMEDY, from exec producer/writer Liz Meriwether. Series, which was previously titled “CHICKS AND DICKS”, is an ensemble comedy about an optimistic Midwestern woman who moves into a New York City apartment with three rather juvenile guys. Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope also exec produce.

Oh the magic of lightning …. GRAVE SIGHT

Um, that’s basically the same premise of the Will Smith Produced SyFy series called “Unfinished Business…” Nice … I love how you get Ridley Scott and the True Blood Author together and it doesn’t matter what the idea is … it’s a great idea … but it could have been a talking mule series and CBS would have bought it …
I wonder who is going to getting to air first? “Unfinished Business” or “Grave Sight” …
