“Mama” debuted strong, earning more than 2nd and 3rd place combined. The real winner is Jessica Chastain, who starred in not only the number one slot, but also number 2 with “Zero Dark Thirty” pulling in 15 million. “Silver Linings” opened to wider audiences but couldn’t quite best ZD30. “Gangster Squad” continues to hang in there, while “Broken City” debuted to a pretty low 8 million.
