“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” opened to the best weekend box-office of any movie ever released in April when it brought in $96.2 this weekend. Not only that, but the film has already outgrossed its predecessor over seas in its opening weekend. “Noah” dropped one spot and 61% from last weekend as it brought in $17 million. Also sliding one place was “Divergent” who made $13 million and pushed its domestic gross well over $100 million. In fourth, moving up a spot after adding almost 600 theaters, was “God’s Not Dead” with $7.7 million. Finally, new to the top five (in its 5th week out) was “The Grand Budapest Hotel” which brought in $6.3 after it continues to add to its screen count as well. Falling from the top this weekend was “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” and “Muppets Most Wanted.”
