“Game of Thrones” actress Maisie Williams may star in the film adaptation of the post-apocalyptic video game THE LAST OF US. Producer Sam Raimi and the video game’s writer/director Neil Druckmann both appeared at Comic-Con today to promote the film, and were less than subtle about their promising talks with the star.
The video game was developed by Naughty Dog, and the company was initially hesitant to allow a movie version made. After reassurance that the company would get a final say on casting choices and the director himself, they agreed. Druckmann will continue influencing the final result, as he himself will be penning the script.
Williams has played Aria Stark on the red-hot HBO series “Game of Thrones” for the past four seasons, and her story arc continues to be one of the most compelling and interesting of the bunch. She is definitely one of my favorite characters – and how cool would it be for her to cross over into “The Last of Us” and continue to kick ass in that crazy world too?!
