Patty Jenkins is staging a mini Wonder Woman reunion on her new project, adding Connie Nielsen to star in TNT series ONE DAY SHE’LL DARKEN, joining co-star Chris Pine, who’s already set for one of the lead roles.
Written by Sam Sheridan, One Day She’ll Darken purports to tell the incredible story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley) who was given away at birth. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets to her past, she follows a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Hollywood gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel (Jefferson Mays), a man involved in the darkest Hollywood debauchery.
Pine plays Jay Singletary, a former Marine-turned-hack-reporter/paparazzo.
Nielsen will play the role of Corinna Hodel, described as a fading socialite beauty and an alcoholic who’s seen her family shattered, her fortunes tossed to the winds. Corinna finds herself a keeper of secrets, but none more fearsome than those she keeps from herself. She is represented by UTA, Lasher Group, and The Artists Partnership in the UK.
The series was inspired by the autobiography of Hodel. Jenkins, Sheridan, Pine and Michael Sugar will executive producer the series which begins shooting this month in Los Angeles.
