Wyatt Russell has been cast in the indie buddy comedy FOLK HERO & FUNNY GUY. Written and directed by Jeff Grace, the story follows a struggling stand-up comic who goes on tour to open for his successful singer-songwriter pal. Russell will play the singer while Alex Karpovsky has been cast as the comic.
Russell is a former professional hockey player and the son of comic actress Goldie Hawn and actor Kurt Russell. As a child, Russell appeared in some of Kurt’s most well known films like “Escape from L.A.” and “Soldier.” He has recently appeared in “22 Jump Street.” He’ll next appear opposite Naya Rivera in “Home” and in the hockey drama “Turk.”
