{HEAT METER} Action Spec “Designated Survivor” Sets The Market On Fire

Robert Lynn’s dynamic new action spec DESIGNATED SURVIVOR has quickly spread like a wildfire through town, landing at six major territories. Pitched as a World War II-era thrill ride, Designated Survivor is set in the aftermath of a devastating attack on America’s leaders, where the government’s “Designated Survivor” must stay alive abroad the Presidential bus GroundForce One while deadly forces pursue him.

We’re hearing that Matt Tolmach of Matt Tolmach Productions took the script into Sony, under his three-year deal with the studio, Joel Silver of Silver Pictures brought it into Lionsgate and Warner Bros., Scott Stuber of Bluegrass Films took it to Universal per his pact with the studio, John Davis of Davis Entertainment brought the spec into Fox under his long-running deal, and Gulfstream Pictures took the script into Paramount.

Lynn is repped by Charlie Ferraro and Emerson Davis at UTA and Josh Goldenberg at Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment.
