Ben Hardy In Discussions For A Major Role In “X-Men: Apocalypse”


is in talks to join . The role is being described as a key one, with Hardy up for a currently undisclosed X-Men character.

The film, set in the 1980s, will follow the X-Men: First Class cast, along with a slew of younger classic mutants, as they battle an ancient mutant who threatens destruction upon the world.

Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and James McAvoy will reprise their series roles, with Oscar Issac starring as the famed, titular villain Apocalypse.

Rose Byrne was also announced to return as her First Class character, Moira MacTaggert.

The new cast additions include Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Kodi Smit-McPhee, who was recently announced to play Nightcrawler.

Hardy was among those considered for the role of Cyclops before it went to Sheridan, and is already highly rumored to play the classic fan-favorite character Angel. However, other sources have said that Hardy’s up for a different role.

Bryan Singer will return to direct, from a script by Simon Kinberg.
