Aaron W Sala

Two-time Launch Pad alum Aaron W. Sala, who is currently a finalist in the 2017 Launch Pad Feature Competition, has signed with Verve and Madhouse Entertainment, the Tracking Board has learned.

Sala’s script, Beast, follows a woman facing off against a bloodthirsty beast after her plane crashes in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Beast recently advanced to the Top 10 of the 2017 Launch Pad Feature Competition, which will announce its winners on March 13. In addition to the solid thrills it offers, judges have praised the script for its contained story, its emotional resonance and Sala’s strong character work.

Sala has been writing screenplays and directing short films since he was in high school. Since then, he’s been no stranger to competition success, including placing in the 2015 LPFC with his script The Fifth Stage. When he’s not writing, Aaron consumes far more TV and movies than he probably should, and if his mother really knew how many horror films he watched, she’d never let him back in the house.

At Verve, Sala will be represented by David Boxerbaum, Nicholas Mohebbi and Kyle Jensen, and he’ll be managed by Adam Kolbrenner and Kendrick Tan at Madhouse.

The 2018 Launch Pad Pilots Competition is currently open for submissions.
