Jon Seda will appear on CHICAGO FIRE for a 3-episode arc, playing Detective Antonio Dawson. Det. Dawson is the brother of paramedic Gabriela Dawson, played by Monica Raymund. Previously, Seda was a regular on John Goodman-starrer “Treme”. Seda can also be seen in the upcoming feature “Bullet to the Head”. Seda is repped by ICM.

HELL ON WHEELS has added Virginia Madsen to its ranks for a 3-episode arc. The period western, now in it’s second season, will have Madsen playing Hannah Durant, the wife of Thomas “Doc” Durant (played by Colm Meaney). Aside from her TV work, Madsen recently finished work on the feautre “the MAgic of Belle Isle” and has been cast in the film adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s “The Bell Jar”. Madsen is repped by UTA.

David Julian Hirsh is joining the cast of WEEDS for a season-long story arc. Hirsh will play Rabbi Dave, a very liberal religious man. After Weeds, Hirsh will appear in the Lifetime Network TV movie “A Narrow Bridge”, as well as making an appearance on another Showtime series, “House of Lies”. Hirsh is repped by APA.

Billy Zane has been cast as the eponymous lead in upcoming miniseries BARABBAS. The series will follow Barabbas, a man jailed at the same time as Jesus of Nazareth – and later saved from execution in place of Jesus. The series is based on a novel by Par Lagerkvist, and is a fictional account of a history that starts where the Bible leaves off. Zane is repped by Paradigm.

Mido Hamada will join the cast of HOMELAND as a recurring character in its soon-to-be second season. Hamada will play a Hezbollah commando known as Lebanese M.M. The commando is a native Arabic speaker, but uses his nearly-unaccented English to blend in with his surroundings. Previously Hamada guest starred on both “N.C.I.S.” and “24”, and was a series regular on “Terra Nova”. Hamada is repped by Cohn Torgan Management.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY has added actress Jenna Dewan to the ranks of its much-anticipated, and very star-studded, second season. Dewan will play the wifely half of “The Couple”, a pair that are apparently very important to the season’s storyline. Dewan’s husband will be played by Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine (her real-life husband is Channing Tatum). Dewan will appear in Anchor Bay Films’ upcoming feature “Ten Year”, and has been cast as Patience in “Magdalena”. Dewan is repped by ICM.
