“Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner has been cast as the lead in MARY SHELLEY’S MONSTER. Based on the real life of the “Frankenstein” author, the period biopic follows the tragic and epic life of Shelley who lost her husband and two of their three children to tragedy, and died of a brain tumor at the age of fifty-three. The script was penned by Deborah Baxtrom with Coky Ciedroyc directing. Taissa Farmiga has been cast as Mary’s stepsister, Claire Clairmont, while Jeremy Irvine will play Percy Shelley.
Turner’s breakout role has been playing the sweet but unfortunate Sansa Stark on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” She also starred in Isabel Coixet’s mystery/thriller “Another Me” last year. Next up, Turner is filming the sixth season of GoT, as well as action/comedy “Barely Lethal” with Jessica Alba and Samuel L. Jackson.
