Based on the memoirs of convicted felon and fugitive Henri Charriere, who staged an epic escape from Devil’s Island, a notorious penal colony in French Guiana, South America.
Pitched as Panic Room meets Die Hard, a contractor whose artist wife suffers from an illness that prevents her from being in the sunlight builds a futuristic house that blocks out any natural light. When a band of criminals attempts to break into the house to steal one of his wife’s valuable sculptures, he must evade and outsmart them to protect his home.
Mark Wahlberg is attached to star in the thriller Home Invasion for Paramount Pictures. He’ll produce with Stephen Levinson through Leverage Management. The film re-teams Wahlberg with Contraband scribe Aaron Guzikowski.
