Fans of The L Word, get ready: Showtime is developing a new season of its popular and beloved female-centric LGBTQ drama. Co-creator Ilene Chaiken will be back as well as an executive producer.

This deal will allow Chaiken to develop new content for the studio, while continuing to helm the massive hit series “Empire”. The ratings of the series throughout the first season managed to increase every week, which is highly unusual for a television series.
